Lone gunman on motorcycle kills Malolos couple infront of their home

CITY OF MALOLOS–A couple was killed in front of their house here by an unidentified motorcycle-riding man on Sunday (Sept. 1), a police report said on Tuesday (Sept. 3).

Col. Emerey Abating, Malolos police chief, said businessman Christian Espiritu and his wife Mary Chris Ismil Espiritu, both from Barangay Mojon, died in a hospital a few hours after they were shot around 4:30 p.m.

Investigators said the couple was at home when the suspect rammed his motorcycle into the couple’s car parked outside.

The victims went out to check the noise and confronted the suspect that led to a heated argument, police said.

Abating said it appeared that the suspect intentionally hit the victim’s parked car to carry out the attack.

Investigators said they have already identified a person of interest and are considering business grudge as a motive. Carmela Reyes-Estrope /tsb
