MANILA, Philippines – The state weather bureau issued a thunderstorm advisory for Metro Manila and nearby provinces, indicating moderate to heavy rains with strong winds that may prevail Tuesday afternoon.
In its weather bulletin post at 1:30 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that aside from Metro Manila, the same weather conditions may occur over the provinces of Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Cavite, Laguna, and Batangas.
This will also be experienced in towns of Cardona and Jala-jala in Rizal; and General Nakar, Infanta, Tayabas in Quezon Province.
Pagasa advised residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures against possible landslides and flashfloods. The weather bureau also advised the public to monitor the latest weather updates.
