MPD rescues 400 minors for curfew violation in Manila

MANILA, Philippines — Operatives of the Manila Police District (MPD) rescued more than 400 minors in the streets of Manila during the strict implementation of the local government’s curfew ordinance.

In a memorandum on Tuesday, the 11 police stations and the MPD’s Special Mayor’s Reaction Team (SMaRT) rescued the 435 minors from September 1 to September 2. 

Balut police station rescued the highest number of minors with 64, followed by Sta. Cruz police station with 63.

On Monday, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno issued a memorandum which mandated the strict implementation of curfew among minors from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. /jpv
