Body of man with gunshot wounds to the head found near Tondo creek

MANILA, Philippines – A still unidentified man with gunshot wounds to the head was found near the Estero de Vitas in Tondo, Manila on Thursday morning.

The Manila Police District (MPD) Homicide Division said the victim is between 30 to 35 years old.

Police said an informant found the body at the Estero de Vitas at around 2 a.m.

Members of the Smokey Mountain police community precinct then responded to the scene.

Police said the man was wearing a dark shirt and dark shorts and was barefoot. The victim also has “Cyril and Cyrah” tattoos on his shoulders.

Investigators recovered a spent shell at the scene while the body was brought to Cruz Funeral for further investigation. /muf
