MANILA, Philippines – Joint elements from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Philippine National Police have confiscated around P2 million worth of suspected “shabu” from an alleged high-value target in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

PDEA reported on Tuesday the arrest of Jerick Calugcugan after a buy-bust operation at about 11 p.m. on Monday in Barangay Cadawinonan.

During the operation, authorities confiscated from the suspect two packs of suspected shabu weighing around 300 grams, boodle (cash mixed with paper cutouts) money, an improvised tooter, two lighters, a digital calculator, two empty plastic sachets, and a cellphone.

Cases for violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied for filing against the suspect. /je
