Aquino, sister Kris, 2 nephews grace DSWD party for street children

MANILA, Philippines—TV personality Kris Aquino and her sons Joshua and James joined President Benigno Aquino III in the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Christmas party for street children in Metro Manila.

Social Welfare Secretary Corazon Soliman thanked Kris for her donation in behalf of the Aquino clan of gift packs for the street children and their families.

Aside from taking part in games, the children prepared musical numbers for the event.

The day-long Pasko ng Batang Pinoy Grand Christmas at the Cuneta Astrodome is part of the DSWD’s comprehensive program to keep street children and their families, including members of indigenous tribes such as the Badjao, off the streets in 10 priority areas in Metro Manila.
