1 dead, 2 others hurt in Isabela road mishap

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela – A 45-year-old man was killed while two others were injured when two motorcycles collided along the national highway here on Wednesday evening, police said.

Investigators said Joey Fernandez, driver of one of the motorcycles, was taken to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival.


Police identified the wounded as Christian Miguel, 21, driver of the other motorcycle and his backrider, Magno Rodriguez, both from Delfin Albano town.

Miguel and Rodriguez were brought to the Faustino Dy Sr. Memorial Hospital in Ilagan City.


According to police, Fernandez overtook a trailer truck and collided head-on with the approaching motorcycle of Miguel on the other lane.
