WATCH: ‘Hanna’ almost stationary, maintains strength

MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Storm Hanna (international name Lekima) stayed almost stationary early Tuesday as maintained its strength.

Hanna was last spotted 815 kilometers east of Calayan, Cagayan, with maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 105 kph, state weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said.

The storm will enhance the southwest monsoon and bring rains over Southern Luzon and the western section of Luzon and Visayas. 

In Metro Manila, rainy weather will likely prevail from noon until evening, Bulquerin said in the 3 a.m. live update of  the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration. 

A low pressure area over the West Philippine Sea, outside the Philippine area of responsibility is not likely to intensify into a tropical cyclone.
