BAGUIO CITY–Two persons, including a minor, were arrested while allegedly transporting marijuana bricks in Tublay, Benguet on Saturday (Aug. 3), police said.

Authorities said they flagged down a Baguio-bound bus from Bontoc after they were tipped off that it carried two suspected drug couriers.

Police Capt. Eddie Buclig, chief of Tublay police, identified the suspects as Aldren Bombio Rabutan, 20, a student, and a male minor, both from Metro Manila.

Seized from the suspects were a total of 35 dried marijuana bricks worth of P4.2 million that were placed in two backpacks. Kimberlie Quitasol/TSB
