Woman’s body wrapped in blanket found in Valenzuela fish pond
MANILA, Philippines — Personnel of the Waste Management Office of the Valenzuela City government found the body of a woman wrapped in a blanket in a fish pond on Friday.
According to a report from the police, local authorities conducted clearing operations of water lilies in a fishpond along A. Conception Street in Barangay Pasolo to locate the body of Rosalie Mission Sagal, who was reported missing by her relatives since July 20.
Authorities then found an already decomposing cadaver of a woman wrapped in a blanket and covered by water lilies in the pond.
This was later relayed to the Valenzuela City Police, which asked the assistance of the satellite office of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) in the city to “process the scene of discovery.”
Police said the cadaver of the victim will be brought to the crime laboratory of SOCO at Camp Crame. The victim will also be subjected to autopsy.
Meanwhile, police said they will also contact the Sagal family to identify if the woman found in the pond was Rosalie.
