Woman perishes in Pasay blaze

MANILA, Philippines  – A 32-year-old woman perished when fire broke out at a residential area in Pasay City Wednesday morning.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) identified the casualty as Julie Bariss.

The blaze destroyed three houses in Barangay 183, Zone 20 at around 5 a.m.

Government and volunteer firefighters had the conflagration under control at 5:56a.m. and totally extinguished half an hour later.

Estimated damage to property was pegged at P300,000.

The cause of the blaze is still being investigated as of posting time. /gsg
