Girl, 15, rescued from sex trade in Bulacan

BALIWAG, Bulacan—Authorities here on Sunday rescued a 15-year-old girl from alleged sex traffickers during an operation inside a motel here.

Col. Avelino Protacio, Baliwag police chief, said they arrested the victim’s relatives identified as Crisffer Sto. Thomas and Crisel Cruz who allegedly offered the girl for sexual services.

Protacio said two other suspects identified as Ronaldo Carlos and Fernando Sto. Tomas are reportedly clients.

Police said they were tipped off about the alleged sex trade inside the motel.

The suspects are facing charges of violation of the Republic Act 8353 or the Anti-Rape Law, RA 7610 or the Anti-Child Abuse Law, and RA 9208 or the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.
