MANILA, Philippines – Court Administrator Jose Midas Marquez on Monday ordered all judges and branch clerk of courts nationwide to do an inventory of all pending cases involving the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and inform him of its status.

“The PCSO cases report form shall be submitted on or before August 15, 2019 accompanied by a certification from the Judge and Branch Clerk of Court concerned. Strict compliance is hereby enjoined,” read the Office of the Court Administrator Circular.

The order was issued in view of the “serious allegations of massive corruption” involving small town lottery and other gaming franchises by the PCSO.

Marquez said some cases have already reached the courts. The Court Administrator said he issued the circular after discussions with Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin.
