MANILA, Philippines – Angat Dam’s water elevation level decreased slightly Wednesday, even as Metro Manila and nearby provinces experienced scattered rain showers in the past few days.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Angat Dam’s Wednesday water level is at 161.36 meters, down from 161.46 on Tuesday.
La Mesa Dam’s water level, meanwhile, rose to 73.82 meters from Tuesday’s 73.72 meters.
Angat Dam’s normal operating level is 180 meters, while La Mesa is five meters shy of its normal high water level.
Earlier this month, Angat’s water level dropped below the 160 – meter mark several times, resulting in water rationing in parts of the National Capital Region, Bulacan, Rizal and Cavite.
