Magnitude 3.5 quake hits San Jose, Romblon

MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 3.5 earthquake jolted San Jose, Romblon Tuesday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

 Magnitude 3.5 quake hits San Jose, Romblon

The earthquake struck at 9:54 p.m. on Tuesday, with its epicenter traced six kilometers southeast of San Jose.

Phivolcs said the tremor was of tectonic origin and had a nine-kilometer depth of focus.

The quake was also recorded at Reported Intensity IV in Malay, Aklan.

No aftershocks or damage are expected, Phivolcs said.  / gsg
