/ 06:03 PM July 23, 2019

A dog has gone missing after a seagull swooped down from the sky and carried it away last Sunday, July 21.

The dog’s owner, Becca Hill, said the bird had taken her 4-year-old Chihuahua, Gizmo, away from their house’s garden in Devon, United Kingdom, as per Devon Live on the same day.

“It carried Gizmo a fair way as we couldn’t see him any more. I have no idea if he was dropped or where he is now,” she was quoted as saying.

As per report, this is not the first case of birds attacking small dogs in the same area. Another Chihuahua in Devon was killed by a flock of seagulls back in May 2015.

As unfortunate as the incident is for Hill and her family, a representative from The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds assures the public that incidents like this are “very rare” and not typical gull behavior.

Meanwhile, as of this writing, Gizmo remains missing and people have been helping with the search for the dog. Ryan Arcadio/JB
