Drug suspect slain in Nueva Ecija shootout
ALIAGA, Nueva Ecija –– An alleged drug peddler from Cabanatuan City was killed in a shootout with anti-narcotics operatives in La Purisima village here on Monday.
Police Major Marlon Cudal, acting town police chief, said Joseph dela Cruz of Barangay Sapang, Cabanatuan City, fired a snub-nosed .38-caliber revolver at an undercover policeman but missed.
Policemen retaliated and fatally shot dela Cruz.
