LEGAZPI CITY — An alleged illegal drug pusher died in a shootout with anti-narcotics operatives in an anti-illegal drug operation in Camalig town in Albay province Friday.

Rody Morauda, 36, was selling suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) to a police undercover agent at 10:20 a.m. in Purok (zone) 2 of Barangay Ilulan, when he sensed that it was a drug sting, said Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson.

Morauda pulled his caliber-.38 gun, forcing police operatives to shoot him.

The victim died on the way to the Bicol Regional Teaching and Training Hospital  here.
