TACLOBAN CITY — A passenger was killed while 15 others were hurt when a six-wheeler truck fell on a 20-feet deep ravine in Sta. Margarita town, Samar on Friday morning.
Reports reaching the regional headquarters of the Philippine National Police based in Camp Ruperto Kangleon, Palo, Leyte, said the incident happened at about 7:45 a.m. in Barangay Mabuhay.
The truck driver, Bernardo Garte, was said to have lost control of the vehicle which fell to the cliff.
The survivors were brought to a hospital at the nearby Calbayog City in Samar due to the injuries they suffered. /lzb
