MANILA, Philippines – Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo on Friday said “it is about time to know the truth” behind the series of narcolist videos linking President Rodrigo Duterte and his immediate family into the illegal drugs trade.

Panelo issued the statement a day after sedition and other charges were filed against  Vice President Leni Robredo and other opposition figures over the viral narcolist videos.

“You know our attitude there, my attitude there is it’s about time to know the truth about these videos,” Panelo said in an interview with ABS-CBN News Channel.

Panelo was referring to the series of “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos that featured Peter Joemel Advincula, also known as “Bikoy,” as the hooded narrator.

FEATURED STORIES

Advincula earlier detailed the supposed involvement with illegal drugs of key personalities in Duterte’s family, including Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go.

But Advincula later retracted his allegations against the Duterte family and said these were “scripted” and masterminded by the opposition.

The opposition has denied this.

Asked if the Malacañang still believes in the credibility of Advincula, Panelo said, “As far as we’re concerned, let the judicial process do its work.”

“In other words, we have a system by which you can determine whether or not the complainant is telling the truth or a defendant, so hayaan mo na ‘yon,” he said.

Panelo earlier questioned Advincula’s credibility saying, “You lie in one, you lie in all.” /muf
