BOC streamlines baggage declaration procedures at airports
MANILA, Philippines — In a bid to make traveling more convenient to tourists and passengers, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) has streamlined its baggage declaration procedures at the country’s airports.
BOC said Wednesday that only travelers and passengers with goods to declare shall be required to fill up and submit a Customs Baggage Declaration Form (CBDF).
“The forms shall be made readily available during flights by the airline operators, who likewise commit to inform passengers while onboard regarding the use of the CBDF,” the bureau said in a statement.
“The BOC, in partnership with airline operators, shall regularly inform the public of all developments and issuances on baggage declaration, which are all aimed toward efficient public service,” it added.
CBDF forms are also available at the Customs Arrival Area of airports, BOC noted. /kga
