Sea trips canceled in Tagbilaran port due to ‘Falcon’

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol –– Hundreds of passengers were stranded at the Tagbilaran Port on Wednesday as owners of fast crafts canceled sea trips due to strong waves brought by Tropical Storm “Falcon.”

Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Tagbilaran said no typhoon signal was hoisted over the region but owners of the fast crafts decided to cancel the trips to ensure the safety of passengers.

One of those stranded was Yu Yan, 37, from Shanghai, China. She was at the Tagbilaran Port at 9 a.m. on Wednesday for her 10:40 a.m. trip to Cebu.

Ocean Jet canceled its 10:40 a.m., and 11:40 a.m. trips to Cebu. Also canceled was its 12:10 p.m. trip to Dumaguete.
