Hao, Parilla rule stanford run

GEMMALENE Hao and John Joseph Parilla topped last Saturday’s Christmas 1k Run of the Stanford Laboratory held at the Villa San Lorenzo Village.

Hao clocked 4 minutes and 37 seconds while Parilla logged a time of 7 minutes and 34 seconds.

Around 500 runners composed of Stanford’s employees joined the running event organized by veteran race director Joel Juarez of Run Check. It was also a celebration of his 20th year in service in Stanford Laboratory owned by Philip Huang. Juarez is the marketing manager of Stanford Lab.

Jessica Dabalos finished in second place with a time of 4 minutes and 59 seconds while Maria Victoria Amante rounded off the top three women runners with a time of 5 mintues and 07 seconds.

Steve Magno, meanwhile, settled for second against Parilla with a time of 8 minutes and five seconds while Dennis Calora rounded off the top three, clocking 8 minutes and 18 seconds.

The running event also served as the highlight of the company’s annual Christmas party. Stanford Laboratory is a diagnostic and medical laboratory located above the Joven’s Grill near the Cebu Provincial Capitol operated by Pearl Huang Go.  CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
