MANILA, Philippines – Manila Mayor Isko Moreno on Tuesday vowed to have his image removed from a food truck serving free hot meals.
“Netizens have a point on this one,” Moreno admitted on Twitter, adding that he already told the donor of the food truck to remove his name and photo affixed on the vehicle.
He also made this promise: “Next flag ceremony, wala na po iyan.”
Netizens have a point on this one.
😊 https://t.co/hK8ONLH4D8

A netizen earlier called out the Manila mayor after a “Kusina ni Isko” food truck was spotted near city hall.
“Bawal epal diba po @IskoMoreno ???” a netizen named Erika said.
In a tweet on Monday, the Manila Public Information Office clarified that the “Kusina ni Isko” is not a city government project and that no public funds were used.
"Kusina ni Isko" is not a public project hehe. No public funds were used. These were donated by his friends and supporters, who wanted to put the Mayor's name on the food trucks. :) Nevertheless, we thank them for the food they provided during the flag ceremony. https://t.co/NGAlqJgiFZ
