Junk shop helper shot dead in Malabon

MANILA, Philippines — A junk shop helper was killed during a drinking spree with friends on Sunday night in Malabon City.

Mark Ogaya, 39, was shot twice by a still unidentified man at Boyet Junkshop Compound on Borromero Street, Barangay Longos, where he worked.

He was taken to the Ospital ng Malabon where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

According to Maj. Aldrin Thompson, the assistant Malabon City police chief for operations, they were checking on the victim’s background to determine the motive for his killing. —Nikka G. Valenzuela
