Town revenue clerk walking home gunned down in Isabela

MALLIG, Isabela—A 42-year-old Mallig municipal employee was shot dead by two motorcycle-riding assailants as he was walking home around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday (July 13), police said.

Manny Asprec, 42, a revenue collection clerk and a relative of former mayor Pedro Flores, was attacked along the road at Barangay San Jose Norte 1.

Asprec was declared dead on arrival from gunshot wounds in the head and torso at the Manuel Roxas District Hospital. Police have yet to track down his killers. VILLAMOR VISAYA /TSB
