MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 4.9 earthquake jolted Makilala, North Cotabato Wednesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The earthquake was the latest aftershock, as of posting time, after a magnitude 5.6 earthquake shook the same municipality Tuesday night, according to Phivolcs.
The latest earthquake of tectonic origin was recorded at 8:56 a.m.
Its epicenter was traced east of the municipality of Makilala.
Phivolcs said the earthquake was felt at Intensify V in Kidapawan City. /gsg
