  • Always be aware of your surroundings — do not allow yourself to be distracted by music, cellphones, etc.
  • Avoid walking alone when possible between dusk and 1 a.m. and after 1 a.m., walk in groups or consider arranging other transportation
  • Walk and park in well-lit areas when possible
  • Always dial 117 for emergencies
  • For non-emergencies, dial the SPD Tactical Operation’s phone number 519-8644/519-5525

The SPD also appealed to the public to follow these tips if confronted by a robber, holdupper:

  • Comply with the robber’s requests — your property is not worth your life
  • Obtain a detailed description of the suspect — take note of what stands out
  • Call 117 when you are safe to do so

The SPD published the list after a snatcher wearing black shirt and cargo shorts stabbed a victim, who remained anonymous, along EDSA Southbound near Barangay San Lorenzo, Makati City on Tuesday at around 12 a.m. (Editor: Jonathan P. Vicente)
