PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group has a new acting director
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police-Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG) has a new acting director.
Col. Jonnel Cabrillos Estomo will be heading the unit effective Saturday (July 6), according to a document released by the PNP-AKG on Friday.
Estomo was designated to the position upon the order of PNP chief Gen. Oscar Albayalde.
He will replace Brig. Gen. Glenn Dumlao, who recently retired from the police service upon reaching the mandarory retirement age of 56.
Before he was assigned to the AKG, Estomo was chief of the Management Division of the PNP Directorate for Comptrollership, according to PNP spokesperson Col. Bernard Banac.
He was also provincial director of the Cavite police in 2014.
