Band member dead after motorcyle hit by delivery van

TUMAUINI, Isabela–A 21-year-old band member was killed on Wednesday (July 3) after his motorcycle was hit by a delivery van at the village of Arcon in this town, according to police.

Capt. Frances Littaua, Isabela police spokesperson, identified the fatality as Romil Claine Urbano, who played bass for a band in Santiago City.

Investigators said Urbano took the lane on which the van was, leading to the tragedy around 8:30 p.m. Urbano suffered severe head injuries, police said.

The van driver, Joey Dahilog, 44, surrendered and will face a charge of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide. VILLAMOR VISAYA (Editor: Tony Bergonia)
