MANILA, Philippines – The trough or extension of a low pressure area (LPA) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over the Visayas and Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Thursday.
The LPA was last spotted 520 kilometers east southeast of General Santos City, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services said.
The LPA is expected to dissolve within 36 hours.
The southwest monsoon has weakened this week and fair weather is expected in Manila and the rest of Luzon in the next few days. /gsg
