Stone-throwing man to be admitted to mental facility

MANILA, Philippines — The man who recently went viral after being caught throwing stones at vehicles passing Osmeña Highway will be admitted to a mental facility, authorities said Wednesday.

The Makati City Police Station arrested the man identified as 35-year-old Sandro Falcoto, a resident of Barangay (village) Singkamas in Makati City, around 3:00 p.m. He was immediately detained to the Makati Police Community Precinct 1 (PCP-1).


Authorities said Falcoto would be turned over to his brother on Thursday before being transferred to the National Center for Mental Health in Mandaluyong City through the help of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
