Pinoy teams dispute title in Bangkok

THE FINALS in the “To Be No. 1 Basketball Challenge” will be disputed by two Filipino squads as the Philippine Patriots and the San Miguel Beermen clash for all the marbles in Bangkok.

The Patriots beat a Thailand selection, 67-54, while the Beermen defeated the Singapore Slingers, 79-69, Saturday to sweep their elimination round assignments

The Philippine teams were battling it out as of this writing for the title in the tournament for the benefit of the flood-victims in the Thailand capital city./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
