CIDG says crackdown against Kapa, other investment scams will continue
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) said Monday that operations will continue against Kapa Community Ministry International and other alleged investment scam groups.
CIDG director Maj. Gen. Amador Corpus said operations will continue even after Rhema International Livelihood Foundation Inc., a “donor” of Kapa, filed a 20-page petition before the Supreme Court seeking P3 billion in damages for including them in the list of unregistered investment entities, and the impeachment of President Rodrigo Duterte, among others.

“Nagsampa po sila ng [petition], but still tuloy pa rin ang campaign ng PNP together with other law enforcement agencies against all investment scams,” he said in a press briefing at Camp Crame.
(They filed a petition, but the campaign of the PNP and other law enforcement agencies will continue.)
Corpus said the instruction to launch police operations against Kapa is coming directly from the President, who earlier ordered its shut down for allegedly operating an investment scam through religious “donations.”
