MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.7 earthquake rocked Lingig, Surigao del Sur on Saturday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
In its initial earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said the earthquake originated 82 kilometers northeast of Lingig at 4:08 p.m.
The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of 13 km.
Phivolcs said there are no expected aftershocks and damage from the earthquake. (Editor: Jonathan P. Vicente)
