MANILA, Philippines — The Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC) on Saturday advised residents living near Pasig River to immediately evacuate if the water level rises to an alarming level.
Residents in communities near the river should meanwhile monitor the weather and take precautions and safety measures, the PRRC said in a Facebook post.
“Should the waters rise to an alarming level, immediate evacuation is strongly advised and coordinate with concerned agencies for appropriate assistance,” the PRRC said.
Metro Manila is expected to have scattered light to heavy rainfall, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (Pagasa).
Rainfall is also expected in parts of Mindanao and Visayas, as well as Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan), Western Visayas, Zambales, Bataan, Batangas, and Cavite.
