NCRPO on full alert after Sulu explosion
MANILA, Philippines —The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has placed Metro Manila under “full alert status” following the recent explosion in Indanan, Sulu.
NCRPO Regional Director Guillermo Eleazar said the full alert status was placed at 6 p.m. on Friday though there were no threats detected within the National Capital Region.
However, five people, including three soldiers, were killed while nine were wounded in an explosion in the vicinity of a military camp in Indanan.

“Having this measure could mean of great help in deterring unscrupulous individuals in carrying out their illegal or terroristic acts,” Eleazar said in a statement. “And so I highly encourage the public to remain alert and vigilant.”
The NCRPO Chief also encouraged the public to report any incident or suspicious person to the nearest police station or through the following NCRPO hotlines: Globe: 09158888181, Smart: 09999018181.
