MANILA, Philippines –  A few days before bowing out of the Manila City Hall and becoming a private citizen, Mayor Joseph Estrada hosted a star-studded “night of remembrance” on Wednesday.

Estrada was elected Manila mayor in 2013 and got reelected in 2016 but was defeated in his second reelection bid in the 2019 midterm elections by former Vice Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso.

Estrada maintained that  his “devotion to the city of Manila will remain.”/ac
