DAGUPAN CITY –– An unidentified assailant gunned down a man who was sleeping inside his tricycle here on Thursday morning, police said.

Investigators said Kenneth Barrozo Parajas, 29, a resident of Pantal District, died instantly inside his parked tricycle after the attack about 1:25 a.m.

Police recovered eight fired cartridges of a .45-caliber revolver and the victim’s personal belongings and money from the crime scene.

The gunman fled on board a motorcycle towards Mangaldan town, police said.

Hours earlier, a 46-year-old fisherman identified as Rommel de Guzman, survived a gun attack while driving his motorcycle at Barangay Linoc in Binmaley town at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police said old grudge and love triangle could be the motives behind the shooting that left the victim injured.

The motorcycle-riding suspects tailed De Guzman before attacking him, investigators said.
