2 drug suspects slain 30 minutes apart in Ecija
CABANATUAN CITY – Two suspected drug pushers were successively killed in separate anti-illegal drugs operations in Nueva Ecija at dawn on Wednesday.
Police Col. Leon Victor Rosete, Nueva Ecija police director, identified the suspects as Michael Pasumala, a resident of Barangay San Josef Norte, and Elvis Encarnacion, a resident of Barangay Sta. Arcadia.
Rosete said the two engaged the policemen in a shootout during the operations.
Pasumala was killed about 2:30 a.m. while Encarnacion was gunned down 30 minutes later.
Police recovered from the suspects their guns and at least 11 sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth). Armand Galang (Editor: Leti Boniol)
