Barangay official shot dead in Masbate
LEGAZPI CITY – A barangay kagawad (village councilman) was shot dead Sunday night during a village fiesta in Esperanza, Masbate, a police report said on Monday.
Police Maj. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol regional police spokesperson, identified the victim as Domingo Barotil, 47, a councilman of Barangay Puting Bato.
Investigation showed that the victim was attending to visitors at around 10:30 p.m. when a lone gunman shot him point- blank several times.

The victim died on the spot.
