Motorcyclist dead in Tayabas City highway hit-and-run
LUCENA CITY –– A motorcycle rider died after he was run over by an unidentified vehicle along the Maharlika Highway in Tayabas City early Friday.
Tayabas police in a report said Benjie Abdon, 36, was traveling aboard his motorcycle when he was bumped from behind by an unidentified vehicle in Barangay Calumpang at 12:45 a.m.
The victim was thrown off from his motorcycle and landed on the pavement. He was consequently run over by the culprit’s vehicle that hurriedly escaped after the incident. The victim died on the spot.

The victim’s motorcycle on the other side of the highway was also run over by another trailer truck.
