MANILA, Philippines — A drinking session between friends in Malabon City on Wednesday afternoon turned bloody after a squabble over cockfighting led to a stabbing incident.

A report from the Malabon City police station said suspect Jeryl Arizala, 38, and his friend Jessie Ryan Yanga, 34, were having drinks at the Guzon Compound in Barangay Tonsuya at around 3:30 p.m.

Police said that after a few drinks, the two friends then quarreled about cockfighting. While they were quarreling, police said Arizala brought out a fan knife and stabbed Yanga.
