P2M worth of property destroyed by fire in Quezon City Saturday midnight

MANILA, Philippines—Around P2-million worth of property was gutted by fire in Quezon City close to Saturday midnight.

Supt. Bobby Baruela, District Fire Marshall of Quezon City Fire Department, said a three-story apartment at the corner of Malakas and Mapagmahal Streets, Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City, owned by a certain Napoleon Antonio was burned.

He said the fire started at the ground floor at 11:45 p.m. Saturday and reached the fourth alarm. It was declared under control at 12:31 p.m. Saturday.

No one was reported injured or dead in the incident, said Baruela.  He added there’s an ongoing investigation by arson investigators to determine the cause of the fire.
