Man who killed daughter with crowbar arrested
KIDAPAWAN CITY—Police arrested a man who had been accused of killing his 17-year-old by smashing her head with a crowbar.
Police Lt. Col. Benito Rotia, police chief of Midsayap town, Cotabato province, said the killing took place on Monday (June 17) at the family residence at the village of Upper Glad in Midsayap.
Rotia said the man and his daughter were in a heated argument when the father got hold of a crowbar and swung it at the driection of his daughter, hitting the girl on the head. The father continued the assault, stabbing his daughter with the crowbar’s pointed end.
Other members of the family asked that the father and daughter be not identified, according to Rotia.
The father is now detained at the Midsayap police jail and is facing parricide. (Editor: Tony Bergonia)
