Taxi driver found dead in Pasay City

MANILA, Philippines – A taxi driver was found dead inside his parked vehicle in Pasay City Wednesday night.

The Pasay City police identified the fatality as Edgardo Egan, 54, a Mandaluyong City resident.

Case investigators said security guard Gerald Warque, who was stationed near a construction site along F.B. Harrison corner Gotamco Streets, saw passersby milling around a taxicab with plate number UVW-582 at around 9:30 p.m.

Warque said he later spotted the victim’s body with stab wounds in the driver’s seat.  He promptly reported his discovery to Cpl. Anthony Rico of the Buendia police community precinct.

Egan’s body was brought to Rizal Funeral Homes for autopsy.
