14 drug suspects nabbed in Pandacan, Manila
MANILA, Philippines – Fourteen drug suspects landed in jail while some P400,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) were confiscated in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Pandacan, Manila within a two-day span.
The Manila Police District’s Pandacan station on Thursday said the team of Capt. Pidencio Saballo Jr. arrested the 14 suspects during anti-drug operations from Monday to Tuesday night.
Among those arrested were Reynaldo Quijano, 44; Orestes Mecua, 43 and Charo Laguipo, 40, at Mangahan Street.
Their arrest stemmed from a report of a concerned citizen that the suspects were in a drug session in the area.
Arrested in separate police operations were Jedryck Yu, 32; Rolando Ramos Jr., 33; Laurenz Buetre, 18; Jhonel Dorero, 21; Ryan Hizon, 24; John Mark Tenedero, 19; Rosell Bernarte, 40; January Manimtim, 16; Airah Ali Agampong, 24; Ronaida Dibaratun, 30 and Salma Pasandalan, 18.
Sixty-one grams of shabu valued at P400,000; marked money worth P1,500, a digital weighing scale; plastic sachets and drug-using items were recovered from the suspects.
