Habagat starts to prevail, bring rains in Luzon
MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon or hanging habagat has started to affect the country.
Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan will have cloudy skies and scattered rains due to the southwest monsoon on Wednesday, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
Weather forecasters have yet to declare the official start of the rainy season, but the southwest monsoon is the dominant weather system during the rainy season.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.
