MANILA, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte is eyeing Dr. Jaime T. Cruz to be the next president and CEO of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said Duterte revealed this during the 38th Cabinet meeting in Malacañang on Monday night.
Panelo said Duterte did not elaborate further but said Cruz has yet to accept the offer.
The President has asked top PhilHealth officials to submit their resignations following the allegations of “ghost” dialysis treatment scams.

Cruz is known to be the owner of the JTC Group of Companies, a conglomerate of companies in Metro Manila and Davao that franchise branded food concepts and homegrown brands. (Editor: Julie Espinosa)
