Duterte wants Dr. Jaime Cruz as next PhilHealth president

MANILA, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte is eyeing Dr. Jaime T. Cruz to be the next president and CEO of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said Duterte revealed this during the 38th Cabinet meeting in Malacañang on Monday night.

Panelo said Duterte did not elaborate further but said Cruz has yet to accept the offer.
